Greenhouse Data Collection App
A commercial greenhouse was struggling to analyze its operational data because several important metrics were not being recorded. I conducted user research for a mobile data collection app designed to address these gaps. The process involved interviews, personas, task analysis, user testing, and focus groups. The app saved the company $400,000 in its first year of use.

VR Interface Research
Users often misperceive motion in VR, leading to disorientation or nausea. This study used a motion platform to investigate how adding physical motion to VR interfaces can improve navigation. The results clarified when adding physical motion is most effective and helped inform the design of driving and flight simulators.

Ethnographic Study of Learning in a DIY Community
A science museum had opened a new hands-on workshop to provide STEM enrichment programs but found it challenging to define an interdisciplinary curriculum for the space. I conducted an ethnographic study of an adult DIY community centered around shared workspaces. The results were used to inform the design of educational programs and products.
